Norfolk & Suffolk Animal Trust

The happiness and health of all our animals is at the centre
of all our efforts. We try to find each and every animal in our
care a loving family home for life. All dogs are checked and micro chipped by a vet within a short time of arriving at the kennels. Our dogs receive regular attention throughout the day at the kennels. You are welcome to inspect our kennels at any time by prior arrangement. We never destroy a healthy animal.

Covid-19 Pandemic

We are open with Government Social Distance Guidance Observed

It's been very quiet in the kennels with only a few dogs coming in for adoption. The reason may be that people are buying dogs from the Internet during the pandemic period. This is not really an advisable way of adopting a pet,
as the dog won't be checked or vetted correctly.
Lets hope these dogs are not given up once people return back to work.

Our Adoption Policy.
We don't allow adoption's to families with children under 10 years.
We don't accept dogs that have shown aggression.
Our dogs are checked and micro chipped by a vet soon after arriving
at the kennels.
Our dogs receive regular attention throughout the day at the kennels.

Our dogs are fed and regularly walked 7 days a week.
We do our best to match the dog with the new owner.
We carry out home visits to ensure your home is suitable for the dog.
We allow you to visit the dog as often as you wish prior to adoption.
Once adopted, it will be a stressful period for the dog, it will take
time for a dog to settle in with it's new home and family.
Their adjustment period won't happen overnight, this is where time, lots
of patience, understanding and kindness is required by the new owner.

The measures above will help discover that the dog will be is suitable for
you and that you are suitable for the dog.
